        About the editors

        Basavana G. Goudra, MD, FRCA, FCARCSI is a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He is also the director of endoscopy anesthesia services at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. After completion of primary medical education at Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India, he spent next 5 years in the Indian Air Force, followed by anesthesia residency at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. Subsequently, he moved to Ireland for Specialist training. Later on, he trained as a fellow in pediatric anesthesia at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving to the United Kingdom to work as a consultant anesthetist for NHS, England. His main area of focus is out of operating room anesthesia with an emphasis on anesthesia for endoscopic procedures and total intravenous anesthesia. He has conducted extensive clinical research and published widely including two editing popular anesthesia text books “Anesthesiology: A Practical Approach” and “Out of Operating Room Anesthesia: A Comprehensive Review”. Both of these springer publications were extremely well received. Additionally, he has invented airway devices “Goudra Bite Block” and “Goudra Mask Airway” that are likely to improve the safety and efficiency of out of operating room anesthesia practice. Preet Mohinder Singh, MBBS, MD is an Assistant Professor at the Washington University in Saint Louis, MI, USA. He has a keen interest in the field of obstetric anesthesia. An assiduous researcher, and teacher, Dr Singh has immensely contributed to the field of anesthesia. After obtaining a postgraduate degree in anesthesia in 2010, Dr Singh has been actively contributing and publishing in the field of clinical anesthesia. He has published more than 100 scholarly articles in various well known international scientific journals. In addition, he has authored multiple chapters on various aspects of anesthesia in many well-known anesthesiology books. His key interest areas include “Obstetric anesthesia” and “anesthesia for the high risk”. His research work in the feild of anesthesia field is well recognized and has received numerous citations across the globe. Michael S. Green, DO, MBA, FASA is Professor of Anesthesiology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and the Director of Perioperative Services for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  He obtained his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey prior to completing anesthesiology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital.  He has made a significant contribution to the field in scholarship and service.  His current primary focus is on operations management through all phases of surgical care.  He has provided content at conferences, published, and serves on numerous national committees with focus on Practice Management.  Michael has extensive background in education.  He previously served as a Residency Program Director and has been a member of national committees focusing on residency education.  He has contributed to the literature via scholarly articles as well as anesthesiology books.
