            About the editors

            Gian Luigi Canata is Director of the Center of Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopic Surgery, Koelliker Hospital, Turin, Italy, a position he has held since 1995. In 1999 the Center became an ISAKOS Teaching Center. Since 1980 Dr. Canata has also been a Member of the Medical Commission of the Italian Track and Field Federation and Director of Medical Services and Member of the Board of Directors of CUS (Centro Universitario Sportivo), Turin. He is also a member of the ISAKOS Educational Committee and since 2010 has been a member of the EFOST Executive Board and General Secretary.

            Pieter D’Hooghe is the Chief of Surgery at Aspetar Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Weill Cornell University. He holds Master’s in Sports Medicine and Tropical Medicine, and an MBA in Sports Management.

            As Past Chairman of the ISAKOS’ Leg, Ankle and Foot Committee, he leads an international panel of experts in the field and is academically involved in orthopedic research and education and delivers lectures worldwide. He is an orthopedic consultant for several elite Champions League Football teams in Europe.

            Kenneth J. Hunt is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Quality and Outcomes at The University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is the Director of the UC Health Foot and Ankle Center, Chief of the Foot and Ankle service, and Director of the UC Denver/Steadman Hawkins Foot and Ankle Fellowship. Dr. Hunt is team physician for the University of Colorado Athletics and for the Denver Nuggets. His clinical practice focuses on sports injuries to the foot and ankle and correction of foot and ankle arthritis and deformities.  Dr. Hunt is the chair of the ISAKOS Leg, Ankle Foot Committee.

            Gino Kerkhoffs is Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Academic Medical Center. He is the founder and Chair of the Academic Center for Evidence based Sports medicine (ACES) and founder and Co-chair of the Amsterdam Collaboration for Health and Safety in Sports (ACHSS), an official IOC Research Center. He is the current past-President of the Dutch Arthroscopy Association (NVA) and was the scientific chairman of the ESSKA congress 2018 in Glasgow.

            Umile Giuseppe Longo is an Associate Professor and Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome (Italy). He is member of the editorial board of several journals in the field of sports medicine and orthopedics, and Section Editor for Orthopaedics and Biomechanics of the journal BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders. He has been the recipient of several prestigious national and international awards. His research interests include shoulder traumatology and replacement.
